Two brands · One dancefloor · No compromise
Sync or Swim started in Exeter in 2023 with a simple idea. Put on the nights we couldn't find anywhere else. House, garage, techno and electro, played loud, in rooms full of people who actually came to dance.
Nearly three years on, we've run a weekly residency, taken headline shows to Bristol and sold out Freshers. Alongside it all sits Tomfoolery, our colourful sister brand for disco, funk and house lovers who want their nights loud, bright and full of life. Different energy, same obsession with a perfect night out.
We curate every line-up, design every poster and sweat every detail, because the people on our dancefloor deserve nothing less.

This policy explains what personal information Sync or Swim Events LLP collects when you use our website, buy from us or come to our events, what we do with it and the rights you have. We run club nights under the names Sync or Swim and Tomfoolery.
Sync or Swim Events LLP is the controller of your personal information. We're a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales under number OC452735. Our registered office is 54 Orchard Road, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 1AU.

When you get in touch. If you email us or use the contact form on our website, we receive your name, email address and whatever you put in your message. The contact form doesn't store anything on our website. It opens your own email app so you can send the message yourself. We use your details to reply to you and to deal with bookings, press or partnership enquiries. We do this because it's in our legitimate interests to answer the people who contact us.
When you buy tickets. Our tickets are sold through FIXR. FIXR collects the details it needs to sell you a ticket and is responsible for that information under its own privacy policy. FIXR may share some ticket holder details with us, such as your name and ticket type, so we can manage entry and run the event safely. If you agree to hear from us when you buy a ticket, FIXR may also share your email address so we can tell you about future events.
When you buy merch. When you place an order we collect your name, delivery address, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you ordered. Payments are handled by Shopify and its payment providers. We never see or store your full card details. We use your information to make, send and support your order, which we need to do to fulfil our contract with you. We keep order records for six years because the law requires us to keep accounting records.
When you come to our events. We take photos and video at our events and share some of them on our website and social media. We do this because it's in our legitimate interests to show what our nights are like. If you'd rather not appear, tell a member of our team on the night or email us and we'll remove content you're clearly identifiable in where we can. Venues may also run their own CCTV and ID checks under their own policies.
When you browse our website. Our website runs on Shopify. Shopify uses cookies and similar technology to keep the site and checkout working, keep it secure and give us basic statistics about visits. You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner where it's shown, and through your browser settings. Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts and our event listings from FIXR, which means your browser connects to Google and FIXR and shares your IP address with them. If you use the team password on our merch page, your browser remembers it in local storage on your own device.
Marketing. We'll only send you marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us and we'll take you off the list.
We don't sell your personal information. We only share it with people who help us run Sync or Swim, and only as much as they need.
Some of these providers, including Shopify and our print and fulfilment partner, may handle your information outside the UK. When that happens we make sure it's protected, for example by relying on UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved contract terms for international transfers.

Our website isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

These terms cover your use of our website, our events and anything you buy from us. Please read them before you buy. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

You're welcome to browse and share our website for personal use. Please don't copy our content for commercial use, try to break or overload the site, or use it for anything unlawful. We work hard to keep event details and prices accurate, but mistakes can happen. If we find an error in something you've bought, we'll contact you before going ahead.
Tickets for our events are sold through FIXR, and FIXR's terms also apply when you buy one. Because tickets are for an event on a specific date, you can't cancel them just because you've changed your mind. If we cancel an event, you'll get a full refund of the ticket price. If we move an event to a new date, your ticket will be valid for the new date, or you can ask for a refund instead. Refunds are paid back through FIXR to the payment method you used.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Delivery costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout before you pay. Our merch is printed to order by our print and fulfilment partner, so please allow time for it to be made and sent.
When you place an order, you'll get an email to say we've received it. Our contract with you starts when we confirm that your order is being made. If we can't fulfil your order, for example because an item has sold out, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
You have the right to cancel a merch order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. To cancel, email us at info@syncswim.co.uk within that time, then send the items back within 14 days of telling us. Items need to be unworn and in the condition you received them. You'll need to pay the cost of sending them back.
We'll refund the price of the items and the standard delivery cost within 14 days of getting them back. We'll use the payment method you paid with.
If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, email us with your order number and a photo, and we'll replace it or refund you. We'll also cover the cost of returning it. This is on top of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Sync or Swim, Tomfoolery, Soss and our logos, designs, photos and videos belong to us or the people we work with. Please don't use them without asking first.
If we break these terms or act carelessly, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
We're not responsible for delays or problems caused by events outside our control, such as venue closures, severe weather or problems with our suppliers. If that happens we'll let you know and do what we can to reduce the impact.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a problem, please contact us first and we'll try to sort it out. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
